How to Build a Portable PA System for Outdoor Parties
Outdoor parties are the ultimate vibe—good music, fresh air, and people just letting loose under the sky. But the key to any successful gathering is sound. Imagine your favorite playlist being drowned out by chatter because your speakers just aren’t loud enough. That’s where a Portable PA (Public Address) system comes in. It’s not just about volume; it’s about clarity, balance, and making sure everyone, from the dance floor to the chill zone, can enjoy the beats. Here’s how you can build your own portable PA system and make every outdoor event unforgettable.
Step 1: Understand Your Needs
Before diving into equipment, take a moment to think about the kind of parties you’ll host. Ask yourself:
How many people will typically attend?
How large is the outdoor space?
Do you need the system for music only, or will there be speeches and announcements too?
For a casual backyard party of 20-30 people, a basic setup will suffice. But if you’re planning a beach party or a block party for 100+ people, you’ll need more power and flexibility. Knowing your requirements will help you make informed decisions.
Step 2: Choose the Right Components
A Portable PA system typically consists of:
1. Speakers
Speakers are the backbone of your setup. You’ll need at least two for stereo sound. Look for portable, weather-resistant speakers that offer good sound quality without being too bulky. Active (powered) speakers are a great choice since they have built-in amplifiers, eliminating the need for external ones.
2. Mixer
A mixer is where you control the audio. It lets you adjust volume, bass, treble, and even connect multiple audio sources like a microphone, guitar, or DJ controller. For outdoor parties, a small, portable mixer with at least 2-4 channels should be enough.
3. Power Source
Outdoor parties often mean no access to wall outlets. A reliable portable power source, like a rechargeable battery pack or generator, is essential. Some PA systems come with built-in batteries, which is a huge plus.
4. Microphone
If speeches or karaoke are on the agenda, a microphone is a must. A wireless mic gives you more freedom to move around, but wired ones tend to be more budget-friendly and reliable.
5. Cables and Accessories
Don’t forget the little things. You’ll need quality cables to connect your equipment and stands to position your speakers for optimal sound dispersion. Consider carrying some backups, just in case.
Step 3: Assemble Your System
Now that you have your gear, it’s time to put it all together. Follow these steps:
Position the Speakers: Place them at a height of 4-6 feet for the best sound coverage. Angle them slightly downward if your audience is seated.
Connect the Mixer: Use the appropriate cables to connect your mixer to the speakers. Ensure the connections are secure.
Test the Power Source: Make sure your battery pack or generator is fully charged. Plug in the system and check that everything powers on correctly.
Sound Check: Play some music and adjust the mixer’s settings. Tweak the bass and treble to suit the outdoor environment. Don’t forget to test the microphone too.
Step 4: Optimize for Outdoor Conditions
Outdoor environments come with unique challenges. Here are some tips to ensure your PA system performs flawlessly:
1. Manage Wind Noise
Wind can ruin your audio quality, especially if you’re using a microphone. Use windshields on mics and position speakers away from direct wind paths.
2. Protect Against Weather
Even if the forecast looks sunny, always be prepared for sudden rain. Waterproof covers for your equipment are a lifesaver.
3. Adjust for Open Spaces
Sound dissipates more in open areas, so you might need to increase the volume and tweak the mixer settings for more bass. Positioning speakers to face slightly inward can help contain the sound.
Step 5: Keep It Portable
The whole point of a portable PA system is ease of transport and setup. Choose equipment that’s lightweight and compact. Invest in a sturdy, wheeled case or bag to carry everything. This way, you’re not stuck lugging heavy gear around before the party even starts.
Step 6: Test and Troubleshoot
Before the big day, do a trial run. Set up the system in your backyard or any outdoor space and test it under conditions similar to the actual event. Check for:
Sound Quality: Walk around the space to ensure even sound coverage.
Battery Life: Make sure your power source can last the duration of your event.
Connectivity: Test all audio sources—phone, laptop, mic, etc.
If you encounter issues, troubleshoot them ahead of time. For example, if the sound is distorted, check the volume levels on the mixer and speakers.
Why Quality Matters
Investing in quality equipment is key. Not only does it enhance the party experience, but it also saves you from the frustration of last-minute failures. Buying from professional audio shops like VIP PRO AUDIO ensures you get reliable gear and expert advice tailored to your needs. Plus, they often provide warranties and post-purchase support, which can be a lifesaver if anything goes wrong.
Final Thoughts
Building a portable PA system for outdoor parties isn’t as complicated as it might seem. With the right gear and a little preparation, you can deliver an amazing audio experience that keeps the party going strong. Whether it’s a chill evening with friends or a full-blown dance party, your portable PA system will be the heart of the event—bringing people together through music and good vibes.

What Are the Core Components of a High-End PA System?
If you've ever been to a concert, a conference, or even a school assembly, you’ve probably encountered a PA (Public Address) system. These systems are essential for amplifying sound and ensuring it reaches every corner of the room—or stadium! But what makes a high-end PA system different from a basic one? And what components are absolutely essential for delivering that pristine, professional sound?
Let’s break it down step-by-step. Whether you’re a student planning events, an aspiring sound engineer, or just curious about how live audio works, this guide will help you understand the core components of a high-end PA system.
Mixing Console: The Brain of the Operation
At the heart of any PA system is the mixing console. Think of it as the control center where all the audio signals come together. The mixing console allows you to adjust the volume, tone, and effects for each audio input (like microphones, instruments, or playback devices).
A high-end mixing console typically includes:
Multiple Channels: Each channel represents an input source, so the more channels, the more sources you can control.
Built-in Effects: Reverb, delay, and equalizers are common in high-end systems, allowing you to shape the sound directly from the console.
Digital Capabilities: Modern consoles often come with digital features like remote control via apps or software, making adjustments easier during live events.
If the mixing console is unreliable or overly basic, it can limit the quality of your entire PA system. So, this component is worth investing in if you're aiming for top-tier sound.
Speakers: The Voice of the System
Speakers are arguably the most noticeable part of a PA system—they’re the ones actually delivering sound to your audience. But not all speakers are created equal. High-end PA systems typically use a combination of speakers to ensure even sound coverage and clarity.
Main Speakers: These handle the bulk of the sound and are positioned to project toward the audience.
Subwoofers: These are specialized speakers designed for low-frequency sounds like bass. They add depth and power to your audio, which is especially important for music performances or events with heavy audio production.
Monitor Speakers: These are placed on stage so performers or speakers can hear themselves clearly. Without monitors, it’s easy to go off-key or lose track of the sound balance.
The arrangement of your speakers is just as important as the quality. High-end setups often involve proper speaker placement to ensure the sound is evenly distributed across the venue, avoiding areas that are too loud or too quiet.
Amplifiers: Powering the Sound
Speakers need power to amplify sound, and that’s where amplifiers come in. These devices take the audio signal from the mixing console and boost it to a level that can drive the speakers.
Power Ratings: A high-end PA system will have amplifiers with sufficient power to handle the speakers without distortion. Using an underpowered amplifier can damage your speakers or produce poor sound quality.
Built-in Processing: Some amplifiers include additional features like signal processing or crossover functionality, which divides the audio signal into different frequency ranges (like highs, mids, and lows) for better speaker performance.
While some modern PA systems come with powered speakers (which have built-in amplifiers), standalone amplifiers are still a core component of many high-end setups.
Microphones: Capturing the Sound
Microphones are the starting point for capturing audio, whether it’s vocals, instruments, or ambient sounds. A high-end PA system uses a variety of microphones tailored to different purposes.
Dynamic Microphones: These are rugged and versatile, making them great for live vocals or instruments like drums and electric guitars.
Condenser Microphones: Known for their sensitivity and clarity, these are often used for acoustic instruments or when you need to capture more detailed sound.
Wireless Microphones: For performers who need freedom to move around, wireless options are a must. High-end systems prioritize reliable wireless technology to avoid signal drops or interference.
Choosing the right microphone for each application is crucial. The best sound system in the world can’t compensate for a poor-quality mic.
Signal Processors: Fine-Tuning the Audio
In high-end systems, signal processors play a key role in shaping and enhancing the audio. These devices modify the sound to ensure it’s clear, balanced, and free of unwanted noise.
Common types of signal processors include:
Equalizers (EQ): These adjust the balance of different frequencies in the audio signal, helping to reduce harsh sounds or enhance clarity.
Compressors: These control the dynamic range of audio, ensuring that loud sounds don’t overpower quieter ones.
Feedback Suppressors: Essential for live events, these devices automatically detect and eliminate the frequencies that cause feedback (that high-pitched squeal).
Cables and Connectors: The Unsung Heroes
It’s easy to overlook cables and connectors, but they’re vital to any PA system. High-end setups use durable, high-quality cables to prevent signal loss, interference, and connection issues.
XLR Cables: Commonly used for microphones, these cables offer balanced connections for clear, noise-free audio.
Speaker Cables: These transfer the amplified signal to the speakers. The thickness and quality of these cables can impact sound performance, especially over long distances.
Patch Cables: These are used for connecting different pieces of equipment, like mixers and processors.
Keeping your cables organized and protected is just as important as choosing high-quality ones. Tangled or damaged cables can derail even the most sophisticated setup.
Stands, Racks, and Cases: Supporting the System
Physical accessories like stands, racks, and cases might not directly impact sound quality, but they’re essential for creating a professional setup.
Speaker Stands: Elevating your speakers improves sound projection and ensures even coverage.
Mic Stands: Adjustable mic stands make it easier for performers to position their microphones correctly, improving audio capture.
Equipment Racks: These keep your amplifiers, processors, and other gear organized and accessible.
Carrying Cases: Protecting your gear during transport ensures it stays in top condition, saving you from costly rep`airs or replacements.
When building a high-end PA system, every component matters. That’s why it’s important to purchase from professional or reputable audio shops like VIP PRO AUDIO . Not only do these shops offer high-quality gear, but they also provide expert advice to help you choose the right equipment for your needs. Plus, you can trust that their products are reliable, which is crucial for ensuring your system performs flawlessly at every event.
Putting It All Together
A high-end PA system is like a puzzle—each component plays a crucial role in creating the perfect audio experience. From the mixing console to the speakers, amplifiers, and microphones, every piece works together to deliver clear, powerful, and balanced sound.
If you’re planning to invest in a PA system, start by identifying your specific needs and the type of events you’ll be handling. Whether it’s live music, public speaking, or large-scale conferences, understanding the core components will help you make informed decisions.
Building a high-end PA system might seem daunting at first, but it’s all about understanding the essentials and how they work together. With the right components and proper setup, you can create a system that delivers outstanding sound for any occasion.
So, next time you’re at a live event and hear perfectly balanced audio, you’ll know exactly what’s making it happen—and maybe, just maybe, you’ll feel inspired to build a system of your own.

Where Can You Find the Best PA Systems
Public Address (PA) systems are the unsung heroes of clear communication. From amplifying a busker's soulful melody to ensuring everyone hears the coach's instructions at training, PA systems project sound across distances. But with a vast array of options available in Australia, finding the "best" PA systems can feel like navigating a sonic labyrinth. Fear not, cobber! This comprehensive guide will equip you with the knowledge to find the perfect PA systems for your needs.
Where to Find PA Systems in Australia
First things first: where can you get your hands on a top-notch PA system? Here are some reliable options:
Pro Audio Retailers: Specialist pro audio stores like Melbourne Sound Melbourne Sound boast a curated selection of PA systems alongside expert advice. Their staff can answer your questions and guide you towards the ideal system for your application.
Music Stores: Many music stores stock portable PA systems suitable for smaller gigs or busking.
Online Retailers: While convenient, online retailers can be a double-edged sword. Read reviews carefully and ensure the return policy is clear before committing.
Choosing the Right PA System: Factors to Consider
Now that you know where to look, let's delve into the nitty-gritty of choosing the perfect PA system. Here are the key factors to consider:
Portability vs. Permanence: Do you need a system you can easily transport from gig to gig, or is it for a fixed location like a school hall? Portable PA systems are typically smaller, battery-powered, and often come with built-in mixers. Permanent systems offer more power and flexibility but require installation.
Power Output: This refers to the system's wattage and determines how loud it can get. For small gatherings in intimate spaces, a lower wattage system (think 50-100 watts) might suffice. However, larger venues or outdoor events necessitate a system with a higher wattage (300 watts and above) to ensure proper sound coverage.
Number of Channels: Channels allow you to connect multiple microphones, instruments, or music sources. A simple system might have just a single channel, while larger, more complex setups could have upwards of 12 channels. Consider how many inputs you'll need to connect your desired equipment.
Speakers: The type and size of speakers significantly impact sound quality and throw (the distance the sound travels). Full-range speakers are versatile but might lack the bass punch for music-heavy applications. PA systems with separate subwoofers offer a richer sound experience.
Features: Modern PA systems often come with additional features like Bluetooth connectivity for streaming music, built-in EQ (equalization) to adjust the sound, and echo cancellation for improved clarity.
Applications for PA systems:
Here are some common uses for PA systems in Australia:
Musicians and Buskers: Portable PA systems are a lifesaver for musicians performing outdoors or in smaller venues.
Public Speaking: PA systems amplify voices during presentations, conferences, or even political rallies.
Sporting Events: Coaches use PA systems to communicate with players and officials during games.
Schools and Educational Institutions: Announcements, assemblies, and even school plays can benefit from clear and powerful sound projection.
Houses of Worship: PA systems ensure the entire congregation can hear sermons and participate in hymns.
Auctions and Events: PA systems help project voices and background music clearly at auctions, trade shows, and other events.

Imagine If You Will...
Acting as the Frontman's PA, and having the Guard harem wrapped around your finger.
This part is:
PA Announcer
Musical Fan!reader
This will be a choose your adventure kind of thing where there will be multiple with jobs/specialties/interactions.
a/n: Hope you like Mamma Mia xoxo
Please don't hesitate to request!!
Walking a few steps behind the Frontman, peering through your silver mask and analysing the clipboard in your hands you updated your boss on the status of everything being prepared for the games.
Based on the grunts and scoffs he let out you crossed out and marked different items on the list. For a man of little words, he sure was good at communicating. After the large doors to the hall closed, you looked first to your boss then to the militia-like staff.
Handing over the checklist to the closest square, you nodded to your boss and turned to leave.
“Squares 1 through 16, Your men will be painting the halls. Squares 18 through 21, Your men will construct the bridge. Squares 22 and 23..." As you approached your office the front man's voice faded away.
There was a surprising amount of paper work for a company that strived to leave no traceable evidence, you supposed they needed to be completely aware of the crimes that the company had committed as to better cover their tracks. That being said, you would swear that the pile had grown since before breakfast.
So sitting down in your little office you pulled off your mask and began to sort through the first few files. After certain issues and unauthorised branches sprung up in the command structure of the previous year's games, you been given the tedious task of vetting all potential contestants.
The main rules were; no one with medical training, we cant have another spout of organ harvesting, no one with knowledge that could reduce or alter the difficulty of the games, aka no more glass guys, and so on and so forth for what seemed to be an unending and ever growing pile of filters.
You'd made it through half of the pile, removing a few of the contestants for their quote unquote leadership qualities, when an alarm chimed from your phone. Tugging forward the microphone you grabbed the notes from today's agenda, before crackling the speakers to life with the press of a button.
'It is now midday. Lunch will be available to grab under the sun for the next 90 minutes. Today's music choice is... mine and will be the entire Mamma Mia musical soundtrack followed by twenty minutes of me replaying my favourite songs.'
Pressing play on the album and turning off the microphone you opted to return to your work for the time being, only now there was the occasional humming along.
When a tapping came from your window you finally stopped, slipping your silvery mask back into place and tugging back the unnecessarily extravagant curtain you observed a single circle giving you a thumbs up.
Waving to him you stepped closer and peered to the side, down the hall stood a group grooving, and as you pressed your ear to the glass you could hear their voices singing along.
Sneaking your secure and very dumb brick of a phone out of your pocket you started to record, before noticing the circle was now waving for you to join them.
Deciding... screw it you leaned your phone against the sill and slipped out of the office to join the gaggle of guards. Only then did you notice just how loud the PA system was set to as the concrete under your feet vibrated with the music.
Dancing and singing along, the group seemed to grow as the album played on... until your boss' brash tone cracked over the system;
'Okay that's enough, go get your food.'
Oh yeah... lunch.

Saturday 6th of April, a great clamour echoes down Princes Street. A mixture of music and furious chants and sirens interrupts the usual hum of tourists and traffic. By the gardens, a quiet metal pen is surrounded on both sides...
On one side, a large, noisy, dance party rages. Queers, straight folk, trade unionists and allies mostly blotting out the hate speeches. Occasionally, an off-tempo chant booms out of the sound system, but mostly it’s playing queer classics. Powerful women from the STUC black workers, disabled & LGBT committees gather and speak about real feminism, muffled somewhat by the noise. A message of support from Belfast rings out over the PA. On the other side of the transphobic bloc, antifascists and unaffiliated queer activists rage against the barrier. Chants of ‘No borders, no nations, trans liberation’ and ‘trans rights, women’s rights, one struggle, one fight’ blast out of megaphones...
A good reportback on the counterprotest against Posie Parker and her hate mob in Edinburgh last Saturday

Grid Kids: Awkward Encounters
Sebastian Vettel x wife!Reader x platonic!drivers
Summary: times when your grid kids gained way more insight into your relationship than they asked for
Series Masterlist
The Time Max Just Wanted to Sleep
Max checks into his hotel room after a particularly tiring day at the track, desperately needing some rest. But as he sinks into the plush hotel bed, he’s met with unexpected noises coming from the adjacent suite. Recognizing the familiar voices, he groans, realizing that he’s unfortunately booked right next to you and Sebastian.
Pulling a pillow over his head, Max tries to drown out the sounds but they seem to only grow louder. He paces the room, plugging in earphones and trying to blast some music. Yet, the thin walls of the hotel make it hard to escape the breathy gasps and banging of the headboard coming from next door.
Getting desperate, Max considers going down and asking if any other rooms are still available but then decides to tackle the issue head-on. Grabbing his phone, he shoots a cheeky text to you and Sebastian: Hey, mind keeping it down a bit? Some of us are trying to sleep here!
***
A few minutes later, there’s a knock on Max’s door. Opening it, he finds the two of you, looking sheepish and holding a bottle of champagne.
“Peace offering,” Sebastian says with a grin. “Sorry about the noise.”
Max chuckles, shaking his head. “Next time, maybe we should coordinate our room arrangements a bit better.”
You end up sitting in Max’s suite, sharing the champagne as the initial awkwardness of the evening fades away.
As the night draws to a close, Max hugs you and pats Sebastian on the back, “Thanks for the drink. But next time, seriously, a bit of discretion wouldn’t hurt.”
Sebastian laughs, raising his glass before downing the remaining champagne, “To fewer awkward hotel nights.”
The Time Lance Just Wanted Some Music
It’s a bustling race weekend and the paddock is alive with activity. Inside the Aston Martin garage, Lance is fumbling with the PA system, trying to connect his phone to the system so he can share his new pump-up playlist with the team.
Meanwhile, nearby in an unused back office, you and Sebastian steal a few moments of intimacy away from the spotlight and the stress of the race.
Just as things heat up between you two, Lance unknowingly reroutes the PA system, and suddenly, the sounds from the office you commandeered echo through the entire garage. The mechanics and engineers freeze, their eyes widening in shock, while some try (and fail) to suppress their giggles.
As the soft murmurs and distinctive sounds start echoing through the garage, everyone stops in their tracks. Eyes widen, jaws drop, and awkward glances are exchanged. The team quickly realizes what’s happening and a frantic search begins to find the source of the unintended broadcast.
Max, who ran to the garage at the first sense of drama, snickers, leaning over to Charles who joined him, never one to resist good gossip either, “Seems like Seb’s getting a turbo boost.”
Charles stifles his laughter, nodding, “Definitely achieving maximum force.”
Realizing what he’s done, a horrified Lance scrambles to correct his mistake, finally disconnecting the PA system.
***
You and Sebastian, initially clueless about the unintended broadcast, step out of the room only to be met with a chorus of playful wolf whistles and knowing grins.
Charles leans in, whispering to Sebastian, "You guys put on quite the show.”
Max, laughing uncontrollably, slaps Lance on the back, “Best PA announcement ever!”
Lance, beet-red with embarrassment, mumbles his apologies, “I had no idea! I was just trying to fix the connection.”
Despite the initial shock, the hilarity of the situation soon takes over and the entire team is rolling with laughter. Sebastian, taking it in stride, wraps an arm around Lance’s shoulder, “Well, that’s one way to boost team morale.”
You, trying to hide your blush but failing, add with a smirk, “I guess we just set a new standard for team bonding.”
Later that night, at a dinner with your grid kids, George raises his glass, “To Lance, for reminding us all of the importance of ... connecting. And to Seb and Y/N, for providing today’s unexpected entertainment!”
The Time Lando Just Wanted to Stream
It’s another busy race weekend and the paddock is buzzing with energy. Lando, with some rare free time, decides to give his fans a live behind-the-scenes tour of the paddock on Instagram.
With tens of thousands of fans tuned in, Lando enthusiastically shows off various parts of the paddock. The garages, the control rooms, and the media centers all get their moment in the spotlight.
As Lando continues with his tour, he approaches a drivers’ lounge, thinking it would be a great idea to show his fans where the drivers relax and chat.
But as he pushes open the door, camera first, he unexpectedly broadcasts a very private moment between you and Sebastian. There’s a split second of stunned silence as the three of you stare at each other like deer in headlights before chaos ensues.
“Oops! Wrong room!” Lando exclaims, hastily retreating, his face turning a brilliant shade of red. He quickly ends the live stream but the damage is done.
***
Minutes later, the paddock is buzzing with whispers. Lando, mortified by his mistake, immediately approaches you and Sebastian to apologize.
“I swear I didn’t know! I thought it was empty!” he stammers, clearly distressed.
Sebastian, although embarrassed, pulls Lando into a one-armed hug to calm him down, “It’s okay. We should have locked the door.”
Lando nods, “And I should’ve knocked.”
That evening, as your not so little family regroups, there’s no escaping the topic. But instead of letting it hang awkwardly, the grid kids decide to turn it into a joke.
Charles, holding up his phone, teases, “So, thinking of starting a new career as an influencer couple?”
Max chimes in, “Yeah, your ratings went through the roof!”
In the middle of the laughter, you lean over to Lando, “Maybe stick to streaming video games for a while, okay?”
Lando grins sheepishly, “Deal.”
The Time Mick Just Wanted a Massage
The race had been particularly challenging that week and Mick, knowing how hard everyone had been pushing themselves, thought it would be a kind gesture to gift you and Sebastian a day of relaxation at the luxurious spa resort nearby. The couple’s massage package, complete with aromatherapy and access to private thermal baths, seemed perfect.
Thinking he’d also take the opportunity to indulge in some self-care, Mick booked a Swedish massage for himself around the same time, imagining quietly de-stressing in adjacent rooms.
As he settles in for his treatment, the gentle background music and expert hands of the masseuse almost lull Mick into a nap. But just as he’s drifting off, a familiar, muffled giggle floats through the walls, quickly followed by other ... less innocent noises.
Recognition dawns and Mick’s eyes snap open in horror. Next to him is the couple’s treatment room and it appears that you and Sebastian are finding more ways to relax than what the spa menu offered.
Panicking and wanting to escape the increasingly awkward situation, Mick whispers to the masseuse, signaling that he wants to end the session early. But the sounds, both from the neighboring room and his own racing heartbeat, make it hard to communicate discreetly.
Finally, unable to bear another second, Mick bolts upright, wrapping himself in his robe and leaving behind a very confused masseuse and a half-finished massage.
On his hurried way out, he generously tips the spa staff, adding a whispered plea, “Thicker walls. Please consider getting thicker walls.”

After the spa incident, you and Sebastian felt the need to make amends for the unintentional awkwardness you’d caused Mick.
The next morning, Mick receives a package at the door of his hotel room. Curious, he unwraps it to find a luxurious noise-canceling headphone set along with a cheeky note:
For the next time we’re all at the spa (or anywhere, really). May these help you find the peace and quiet you truly deserve!
We are so sorry,
Y/N and Seb
Mick chuckles, appreciating the humor and thoughtfulness behind the gift. Shaking his head with amusement, he sends you a text: Thanks for the headphones! I’ll be sure to put them to good use. And no worries, it’s all in good fun!
The Time Charles Just Wanted to Play the Piano
One breezy evening, Charles, looking to relax, decides to play the grand piano in the lounge area of the upscale hotel you’re all staying in. He’s excited to show off the piece he recently composed and thinks the soft tunes would be the perfect backdrop for the sunset.
As the first notes float in the air, Charles becomes more engrossed in his performance, letting the melody guide his emotions. Guests gather, drawn by his beautiful rendition, creating a small, appreciative audience.
However, as he transitions to a quieter, more mellow piece, another sound begins to subtly accompany his piano playing. It’s coming from the suite above the lounge and the faint but unmistakable noises are in stark contrast to his elegant music.
Charles’ eyes widen in recognition, realizing the suite above belongs to you and Sebastian. Trying to maintain his composure and not draw attention to the … additional soundtrack, Charles decides to improvise.
Switching to a louder, more vibrant tune, he plays with increased vigor and volume, trying to drown out the amorous symphony from upstairs. The crowd, oblivious to his true motives, applauds his versatility, thinking it’s all part of the show.
Once his fingers are numb and you seem to have quieted down, Charles wraps up his impromptu concert with a flourish, earning hearty applause from the crowd.
Later, as he walks past your table during dinner, Charles leans in, whispering with a smirk, “Your ... appreciation for my music was evident but maybe next time, stick to clapping something other than your cheeks?”
The Time George Just Wanted to Hang Up
George is prepping for an upcoming race, headphones in, studying the track layout on his tablet. Your name flashes across his phone screen and he quickly answers, eager to discuss your plans for the weekend.
The conversation goes smoothly and as it concludes, George believes he’s hung up, returning to his race prep. However, the call hasn’t disconnected and as moments pass, he starts hearing faint, intimate whispers, quickly recognizing the familiar voices of you and Sebastian.
Panicking, George tries to hang up but for some inexplicable reason, the phone seems to be in a rebellious mood. In his flustered state, he accidentally switches the call to speaker mode, amplifying the ... private conversation for all to hear.
In a rising state of desperation and embarrassment, George mashes buttons but the phone, now seemingly possessed, continues to broadcast the sighs and moans. His face reddens, realizing that his team, busy in the adjoining rooms, can probably hear everything.
In a final bid for respite, George, driven to the edge, hurls his phone against the wall. The device shatters, mercifully cutting off the call and restoring sweet silence.
Catching his breath, George contemplates the wreckage of his phone, feeling a mix of relief and regret.
Later, when he sees you and Sebastian, he sheepishly explains the demise of his phone. “You owe me a new one,” he jokes, “And maybe a pair of earplugs.”
Sebastian chuckles while you reach up to ruffle his hair, “Next time just put it on airplane mode.”
The Time They Just Wanted to Check the Group Chat Without Having to Bleach Their Eyes
On a quiet evening as you’re prepping dinner, your phone buzzes with a new notification. Wiping your hands, you pick it up only to find a message in the group chat you share with Sebastian and your grid kids. To your horror, it’s a risqué photo of Sebastian, clearly meant for your eyes only but now out there for the entire gang to see.
Immediately, the chat explodes.
Lando: My eyes! My eyes, they burn!
Charles: Seb, trying to spice up media day?
George: Well, that’s a different kind of pole position
Max: Blackmail material acquired 😈
Lance: This is taking teammate bonding a bit too far
Mick: I can never look you in the eyes again
Sebastian, realizing his mistake, quickly responds: Oops, meant to send that to Y/N. Sorry guys
Then, because he’s still a menace at heart, adds: Enjoy the view 😉
Max, always ready with a quip, shoots back: Enjoyed and scarred for life. Thanks, Seb
You jump in, trying to diffuse the situation: Okay, as fun as this is, let’s all delete and pretend this never happened. Deal?
Your grid kids collectively agree, although the jokes don’t stop anytime soon.

Later that evening, you find Sebastian slightly red-faced but chuckling. “Guess I need a lesson in texting,” he admits.
“You think?” you laugh, giving him a playful nudge.
To ensure no future mishaps, your grid kids gift Sebastian a book titled “Text Messaging for Dummies” when you meet up the following weekend, turning the awkward incident into a funny memory.
It’s just another day in the unpredictable but always entertaining life with your family.
And you have to admit, it was a nice photo. You make sure to enjoy the view in real life that night.
